Great service, nice atmosphere and very good food. Hamburgers, fish and chips were both very good along with the French fries. Their homemade sauce was a nice plus.

This place was recommended for a solid burger by a trusted friend. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by Kim with a genuine hello. I was asked what I wanted to drink before I even sat down. The fresh tea was ideal. I ordered the $10 1/4lb burger special with tots. The burger came with all the traditional toppings plus a house sauce. I put it in line with Boll Weevil sauce. The table was stocked with the extras. I was offered pickles and peppers on the side. The burger was quite good. The bun was soft, fluffy and warm and smashed perfectly onto the other elements. The lettuce was fresh green leaf, which I always appreciate over iceberg. The red onion and tomato were typical. The patty was juicy and medium rare. I had no indication it was frozen. If you've ever seen "The Menu" you know it's a fact that nothing compliments a burger quite like American cheese. I love cheddar but having a burger covered in two healthy slices, oozing over the sides of the patty, took this to another level. I love tots. Period. Until a burger joint boasts of making their own, I'll just be content with everyday frozen tots. They were nothing to complain about. All in all, I will be back, and spread the word about the place that's "tucked in the corner".

The server was new...they had to ask the kitchen tons of questions. The chili cheesesteak hit the spot... You know bacon was pretty good. I didn't try the burger patties.

My fiance and I love it here! The John Wayne theme is super unique, this place is well loved by locals. The beer selection is always great and the food always feels home cooked and yummy. We have always had friendly waiters and the restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside! Definitely visit if you are looking for a western dive bar feel!

We were in the neighborhood visiting a friend in Kaiser Zion hospital and this place was handy. My hubby had been here a few times years ago with a friend and he recommended it. What a find! This is a great place if you're looking for a bar where the old folks go. The thing is that the old folks know good food and this is it, along with good beer! It was a Taco Tuesday night and they were having a deal which I couldn't refuse. Those with a side salad and a hazy IPA did the trick. Delicious! The hubby had the burger and fries and they were awesome. Plus there's tvs all over the walls and John Wayne memorabilia EVERYWHERE. Seriously.

I love this joint. I mean, how can you not? Oh, you don't? Well, screw you! More room, more burgers, more drinks, and more fun for me and my friends. You go enjoy Applebee's, loser. Seriously though, I had been to the Longhorn several times over the years with one particular friend who moved to Kansas a few years ago and since then I had not returned until recently. That is until a few months ago and I've now been back several times since. I knew something felt different upon my long awaited return, for the better, and after asking a handful of questions it was revealed that the ownership has changed. As I dug in a bit more with my probing I realized that the new owner is someone I'm well aware of and the perfect guy to grab a place like this and make it even better seemingly without changing a damn thing. It's about the burgers here. You really can't go wrong with any of them and while not a San Diego bargain burger by any means but I also think that prices build a certain caliber of customer and the Longhorn has nailed the perfect type of customer. People who love dive bars but with a few bucks in their pocket and a taste for something a bit more elevated than the place down the block with sticky floors, rude bartenders, and dirty bathrooms. You'll find none of that here. What you are sure to find here is a good time, and tasty burger.

I really like this place for a quick bite to eat! The staff is friendly, the food is good and it's right next door to my job! I did not realize that their steak sandwich recently got a makeover lol I liked the old one but according to some people it was tough to bite through so now it's on a roll and the beef is sliced. I did enjoy the greens they added with the vinaigrette dressing and you cannot go wrong with the fries, tots, or my favorite the house made chips! It's a small place but the atmosphere is nice!
